Meet Your Sculptformer
A quick guide to the machine, the springs, and the studio layout — so you can walk in feeling grounded, confident, and ready to move with intention.
You control the machine.
The Sculptformer is designed to support slow, intentional, resistance-based movement. You’ll use springs, straps, platforms, handlebars, and the moving carriage throughout class.
Your instructor will guide spring suggestions and transitions every step of the way. Every body feels different every day — listen to yours, modify when needed, and focus on staying in the movement longer.
Know the setup
Use this guide to get familiar with the main parts of your Sculptformer before class.
The essentials
Carriage
The moving platform where much of the work happens. Control is the goal — slow, steady, and intentional.
Straps
Used for upper body, core, and full-body resistance work. Keep tension smooth and controlled.
Platforms
Front and rear platforms help support standing, lunging, plank, and transition-based movements.
Handlebars
Front and rear handlebars are used for balance, alignment, control, and support during transitions.
Shoulder Blocks
Used to help anchor your body and support alignment during carriage-based movements.
Rails
The carriage glides on the rails. Your job is to control the movement — not let the machine control you.
Resistance, simplified
Your instructor will call out spring suggestions throughout class. Springs are not about ego — they are about finding the load that lets you stay connected, controlled, and safe.

Know the room
Here’s a quick look at the studio layout so you know where to find the water fridge, grip socks, check-in, bathroom, and reformer setup.
You control the machine — don’t let the machine control you.
